My selection of the best Diva preset packs for melodic house and techno, focusing on the packs I actually use in my own productions
If you’ve come across any of my music or content, you’ll probably already know that I’m a huge fan of U-he Diva. For me, it’s one of the most important plugins to have if you produce melodic house or techno, because it has that special warm, analogue sound.

Diva is a beautiful virtual synth, but creating your own sounds from scratch can take time, especially if you’re just starting out with it. When I’m in the creative flow, I find that it’s really important to have a solid library of Diva presets at my fingertips, so that I can quickly try out new ideas.
In this article, I’m going to share the Diva presets I use most often when producing melodic house. In particular, I’m going to take a look at Production Music Live’s selections of Diva presets and sample packs, and highlight my top recommendations based on what I use personally. While my own productions lean more towards melodic house, these presets also translate well to melodic techno and similar styles.
Why Diva works so well for melodic house (and techno)
Diva is one of those plugins that I just keep coming back to. Having bought it a couple of years ago now, I can confidently say that it has changed my music production journey for the better.
It’s so good for melodic house and techno because it has that special warm, analogue feel to it. It has a really distinctive sound, whether you’re creating melodic plucks or lush, analogue-sounding pads. Diva’s sounds feel musical straight away, without much effort.
When I’m working on a track, I’ll often just load a preset, make a couple of small tweaks, and find that it’s already working in the context of the song. The speed and ease of use help keep ideas moving instead of getting stuck in sound design. That being said, I don’t think I’d be able to get the most out of Diva personally without starting with some preset packs designed specifically for melodic house, so that’s what I’m going to cover in this guide.

1) Organica Vol. 5

Organica Vol. 5 was the first pack I ever bought from Production Music Live a few years ago, and it’s also the one I’ve used the most in my productions.
I was first drawn to it because of the warm-sounding Diva plucks, but there’s a lot more here than just that. It comes with about 100 Diva presets, including arps, plucks, basses, and chords — as well as an excellent range of professional royalty-free one-shots and loops.
The Diva presets have often formed the starting point for lead sounds in my songs. I’ll usually begin with one of them and make a few small tweaks, which is far more efficient than designing a sound from scratch. My personal favourite is Pluck 018, which you’ll hear in some of my released music.
As mentioned above, the Diva presets are part of a wider bundle that also includes high-quality shaker and hi-hat samples, which I’ve also used regularly in my tracks.
This is a special pack and I really recommend it if you have Diva and make melodic or organic house (and techno). It’s probably the preset and sample pack that has had the biggest influence on my musical direction.
2) Organica Vol. 4

I picked up Organica Vol. 4 a few months after buying Organica Vol. 5, once I realised how much I was getting out of that pack. While Vol. 5 is the one I reach for most often, Vol. 4 is also a great option and has definitely earned its place in my library.
It includes about 60 Diva presets, and while the presets aren’t really the main selling point of the pack, they’re still what I personally use the most. As with Vol. 5, they make excellent starting points — quick to load, easy to tweak, and very usable in melodic house tracks.
Organica Vol. 4 comes with loads of additional content too. The pack comes with more than 200 royalty-free one-shots and more than 350 loops, including some excellent shaker and percussion elements that help bring tracks to life.
3) Diva Presets Bundle

The Diva Presets Bundle from Production Music Live is aimed at producers who want a complete Diva preset and sample setup in one purchase. Rather than picking up individual packs, it bundles together multiple Organica releases and related Diva content, which makes it a good value option on paper.
I personally do not yet have this pack but it includes the presets from the Organica Vol. 4 pack above as well as a number of others. In all, it includes about 1,000 Diva presets, many of which come from specific melodic house packs. This is probably the best option for you if you’re looking for the largest range of presets in one purchase.
Why I use and recommend Production Music Live presets
In case you haven’t already realised, I’m a huge fan of Production Music Live. The sample and preset packs I’ve used have been really high quality in my experience, and what really sets them apart for me is that many of them are designed specifically for melodic house.
As I mentioned above, the Organica packs I bought a few years ago have become an important part of my sample and preset library. I also like how easy it is to make a few simple tweaks to the presets to get the sound I’m looking for.
Are paid Diva presets worth it?
I personally think so. For me, paid Diva presets are worth it if you’re serious about finishing music. They save a lot of time compared to designing sounds from scratch, and they provide musical starting points that actually work in real tracks.
You’re paying for curation and consistency, which makes it much easier to stay in a creative flow. If you’re regularly producing melodic house or techno, I feel that the time saving alone usually justifies the cost.
